Hannah Mitchell
Coming from the mountains of southern Appalachia, Hannah Mitchell has been immersed in the natural world since a young child. An abiding love for the wild is the foundation for her creative expression and passion for working with plants. Most of her creative work has been brought to the world in a functional form with hand crafted brooms, incense and wood toys. She started her career in 2013 selling her wooden toys and walking sticks at the Pocahontas County Artisan Coop in the highlands of West Virginia, where she also learned broom making.
She studied woodworking at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina, and received her Clinical Herbalist training from the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, becoming a certified Clinical Herbalist. She then completed the three year program at the Green Mountain Druid School. Hannah lives with her partner and two children Brookfield, Vermont.
