Avery Lavoie
Avery Lavoie is a constellation of many nested beings spanning across time and
space. She is a dream weaver, song catcher, sound healer, grief guide,
eco-somatics and yoga practitioner born in the sacred hills of Abenaki lands,
now called Huntington, Vermont. In this current iteration of life, she is a
preschool music and movement teacher weaving and teaching songs of land,
season, culture, and spirit. She holds a Master’s degree in Environmental
Science from the University of Idaho and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and
Environmental Studies from the University of Vermont. She calls on the power
of the Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Yellowbud Hickory, Waters, and Songs of
this Land to guide her journey. She thanks the many human and
more-than-human kin for sharing the path. She is often found singing to,
planting, and tending trees on farms across Vermont.
