The Parlour: Psychic Salon & Tarot Circle

The Parlour is a space –  part laboratory, classroom, sandbox and council – to practice, deepen, and explore our psychic abilities in community, with consenting participants, inside a sturdy container built to hold the Mystery.

All of us are born divinely magical with profound capacity to sense, feel, and know much more than our 3D reality can explain. Though our culture has rendered much of these abilities as taboo or ‘dangerous’ or ‘not real’, they are alive and well and our birthright.

The temple that is Rootstock is holding safe space for seasoned psychics, beginners, and other curious and highly sensitive people to gather, explore, discuss, practice and develop these abilities in a nurturing and affirmative circle.  This is mysterious and powerful work and, we believe, necessary to support the evolution of our species at this critical time; we’re looking forward to cultivating community, safety, and ethical best practices around how to wield and share these gifts in service of healing for all, seen and unseen.

The gathering will consist of a check-in, some ground rules for community practice, some spacious time to give or receive, and then a closing circle to integrate the work. Folx coming are asked to stay for the opening and closing circles to ensure a high-integrity container.

The Parlour is not:

• a clinic or healing space
• 1:1 council
• a holding space for urgent care

The Parlour is:

• an exploration of tarot as ally for the present, to develop intimacy, self-reflection and trust within yourself
• an opportunity to practise cartomancy and other forms of divination
• a playground to explore metaphysical capacities with intentional space to hone and tune your abilities
• witness, celebration, and affirmation
• an occasion to gift feedback and learn within a cyclical wisdom hierarchy
• a question
• an ellipses to the stories you’ve been taught about your bodymind, “madness”, magic, and Mystery, a liminal horizon of expansive imagining

The Schedule (approximate):

5:30/5:55 – Welcome to the Belly. Invitation to wash face and hands (materials provided). Find a place in the circle and settle.
6:00 – Hi. Thank You. Who am i? Why are we here?
6:05 – Welcome the directions, seen and unseen beings, the hill, the Mystery, ancestors that are here with me, and you?
6:15 – Guided movement to centre into your body, connecting to your home, while holding your stone.
6:30 – What is alive for you….? What is true for you, emotionally, physically, energetically, metaphysically. Place your stone on the alter.
7:15 – Circle connection. May you receive the answer you need.
7:20 – Bio-break.
7:30 – My relationship to a deck as a specific channel, decks have personalities, ways I have built relationship and trust.
7:35 – Calculate your year card. Long-term embodied study of tarot using the year card and your year cards. Handout: specific spreads using your year card as an anchor, and questions for deeper contemplation.
7:45 – Tarot spread; What is the Answer You Need?
8:35 – Invited to share your answer.
8:55 – Releasing of the directions, beings seen and unseen. Closing of the circle.
9:00 – Thank You. Goodnight. Collect your stone from the alter.
