In honor of Katrina Coravos who dedicated over a decade of her life to sweep the way for Nana’s visits and with much gratitude to Beana at Rootstock Retreat, we have this opportunity for Nana Wilma to share her medicine:

Join us in a collective prayer in the Mayan tradition of creating a Sacred Fire to give gratitude, request healing, and make offerings for our Mother Earth.

This is the day in the Mayan Calendar of Waqxaqui Ajpu, a day to call in our joy and creativity as we connect with the positive potential of the human species in its full flowering.

From the heart of creation at Rootstock, we are praying for the weaving of community, collaboration and revillaging. We are living into what’s possible and asking questions:

How do we come together, work together, pray together?

What is necessary to harmonize ourselves through conflict and repair?

How do we stay resilient?

How do we uplift one another’s missions and meanings and raise the tide together?

What does it mean to be both, Sovereign and United?

The Mayan Fire Ceremony is a way used by trained Mayan Aj Q’ij (daykeepers/ spiritual leaders) of creating a vortex of energy that can be used as a portal into the Spirit world, where we can receive healings and offer prayers. The Mayan fire ceremonies use limited wood. With prayers, a mandala is created out of dried herbs, candles, and other natural materials, as well as incenses.

Those who attend the ceremony are encouraged to bring offerings such as medicine plants and incenses (sage, cedar, sweetgrass, tobacco, resins, etc.), flowers, candles, honey, cornmeal or other natural items you feel called to bring to offer to this special Fire Ceremony. All offerings are an important part of this special Ceremony we will create together.

The Mayan Aj Q’ij uses their knowledge of the matrix of life to coordinate their prayers and offerings to work with the energies present in that moment in time. They are trained to read the fire and gain wisdom for healing and answers to prayers. The more offerings that can be given for the fire brings more blessings for ourselves, our families, the earth, and all our relations.

Suggested loving donation: $25 and up to support travel, cover ceremonial materials and other expenses we incur.

Before the ceremony will be a potluck, please bring a prepared dish to share so we can nourish our bodies and prepare for our experience, together.

PS
Nana will be available for Divinations from 10 am to 4 pm, prior to the potluck. Please contact marcellaeversole@gmail.com for more information or visit

The spiritual divination is a sacred opportunity to have a one-on-one session with Nana Wilma and the Mayan Oracle (a way of consulting with the spirit guides, divinities and the natural forces). This is a time to get spiritual advice and healing for personal issues, difficult situations, important choices, or to gain more understanding of your spiritual path and the steps you can take toward your healing and empowerment.
Divination can include a sharing of the individual’s Mayan Tree of Life (based on the day you were born), which talks about the person’s individual frequencies and dominant energies as defined by the Mayan Calendar that holds the wisdom of encoded information in which a psychic and spiritual awareness is created within ourselves.
A divination lasts one hour. We do exchange money and gifts for divinations as a way to send Nana home with resources to care for herself, her family and her community. And, there is room for other types of exchanges, so reach out and we can talk!  We request $100 be given with1/2 as deposit after reserving your appointment. Bring balance in cash as one of your gifts and include it with your other offerings.  Also 4 gifts are given to our medicine people for ceremonies and divinations. (Please be mindful that Nana will need to bring things back home on the plane).  By offering these gifts we connect with our hearts and the love that is being shared between us in ceremony. We extend out something of value in recognition of what we hope to receive. In this way we stay in good relations with all life, giving and receiving.
1. Something from the plant kingdom
2. Something from the mineral kingdom
3. Something from the animal kingdom
4. Something that nurtures and helps care for the medicine person’s family (a financial offering may count as this gift, or you may want to give something in addition)
Your chosen gifts are an intricate part of your experience, as they carry the healing and energy of what you are bringing and calling forth…what is your intention? A beautiful presentation adds to the offering of your gifts. The gifts that are gathered from around the world are often used in ceremony or offered to elders and other ceremonial people during his/her travels.
If you are looking for suggestions on what to give for gifts, some useful items that are very appreciated are pillar candles, smudge sticks, essential oils, tinctures, teas, baskets, crystals, charcoals for burning incense, plants, and seeds (especially medicinal or heirloom).
We have limited personal sessions with Nana during her travels, so please reserve in advance if you are interested in one. Sessions vary from person to person and can be used for physical healing, spiritual guidance, astrological counseling or ceremonial support. More details on personal sessions are below.
