Cannabis Craft- Tarot Cards
With Melissa Gill (MG) and Jessica Cholewa
May 1, 2026
An evening of ceremony, creativity, and connection with our beloved plant ally, Cannabis
Cannabis Craft is a Rootstock gathering where we meet at the feet of our friend and ally, the cannabis plant, to commune, vision, and create. Working with any plant or fungus ally is something we hold with deep care here at Rootstock. Mama Marijuana is welcomed into the temple in a way that is safe, intentional, sacred, and joy-filled.
The Cannabis Craft “joint” has been lovingly passed to MG and Jessica, and we feel honored to step in as space holders for this next chapter. We’ll be tending the container and guiding the evening, holding it in the same spirit of reverence, curiosity, and creativity that made this space what it is.
For this craft, we’re moving into something a bit more communal and alive. Together, we’ll begin creating a Rootstock Tarot Deck.
Each participant will be invited to create two cards:
One representing you, the essence you carry, and the lessons, magic, and medicine you bring into your community
One representing what your community offers you, the resources, reflections, and support that meet you along your path
You’re welcome to create additional cards if inspiration flows, whether to contribute to the collective deck or to bring home with you.
This will be a more open and intuitive creative process. We’ll be working with paint, drawing materials, words, and any other textures or mediums that want to come through. We’ll have a variety of art supplies available, and you’re encouraged to bring anything you feel called to create with.
Here’s a gentle flow for the evening:
- Arrival between 5:30–5:45pm
- Opening Circle & Welcome at 6:00pm
- Intention setting using a rolled cone as our talking piece
- Time to explore and gather materials and begin creating
- Time to deepen into your cards
- Closing circle and sharing
We invite you to arrive having eaten so we can feast on creativity rather than dinner. Light snacks or finger foods to share are always welcome. Please arrive sober and unaltered so we can meet our cannabis muse together, in presence and ceremony.
We’ll provide a selection of shared cannabis. You’re welcome to bring your own to share as well.
This gathering is designed for adults and is not appropriate for children. Space is limited to 12 participants to keep the circle intimate and well-held.
If you’re new to cannabis, this will be a gentle and supported space to explore the plant’s creative and connective magic.
If you feel called to stay a little longer, we’d love to have you for the weekend. Moon Circle will be held the following evening, offering a beautiful opportunity to deepen into the work and connect in community. You’re welcome to join us.
You’ll receive a link to book weekend lodging in your Moon Circle confirmation email
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations within 48 hours of our start time will not receive a refund. Gatherings often have a waitlist so, please, do your best to provide ample notice if you can’t make it so somebody else may.
