A Kinder Garden: Imaginative Playthyme for Adults
April 6, 2024
“Imagination is more important than knowledge. For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand, while imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.” – Albert Einstein
This free or by donation gathering is a new and sweet offering from your favorite imagination farm for our collective joy! When was the last time that you got to play…not just with your children but for yourself? A Kinder Garden: Imaginative Playtime for Adults is open to 2-12 people. Come play with us!
Arrive as adults. Engage as children. Depart as adults, but perhaps a little lighter.
Together, we will channel the innocent fearlessness of our childhood creativity and wonder through imaginative and cooperative play. Here’s the list of what you can expect:
-
1230-1 arriving at the Rootstock playground
-
1-130 introductions , some simple ground rules, drop in to our childhood hearts
-
130-2 an independent imaginative exercise
-
2-230 share what wondrous worlds we uncover
-
230-330 cooperative group play
-
330-4 gently return to our adult selves, Reflections
This gathering is designed to make space for imagination, play, pretend, and togetherness. We’ve placed this circle strategically between the Sun Circle and the Moon Circle during Community Weekend with the hopes that the men will linger and the women will arrive early to enjoy some free-spirited joy together.
-
Plan to arrive between 12:30-1:00pm so we know who’s playing together.
-
Bring any snacks you might want and feel welcome to bring things to share but there’s no pressure.
-
Dress for the elements! If it’s cold, warm, wet, buggy…whatever! We’re gonna play in it! A hot outdoor shower is available to anybody needing a rinse in case we get dirty.

Eric Ext facilitates this new gathering and is a Rootstock Resident and community member.
