100 Hour Fire - Day 2 (10/29)

October 29, 2024

Date and Time Details: Arrival at or after 7am and departure by or before 10pm

Address: 1429 Beach Hill Road, Barton, VT, USA

Prices
  • Maximum $111.00 – Sliding scale of $0-$111. No money is required though all proceeds will cover the costs of the fire (wood/food/cleaning) and extra will support the Rootstock Medicine Fund to allow folks in need to access medicine work

All gatherings happen rain or shine or snow or wind. ~25 people is the maximum capacity for any gathering at Rootstock so you can expect these days and circles to be intimate and right-sized for communion and connection.  Children are welcome but we ask that you leave your four-legged at home.

Registration for a day grants you access to the hill for all the gatherings on that day (7am-10pm) but does not include overnight accommodations. If you book multiple days in a row, that’s most welcome, and you can plan to camp or inquire if there are available bunks for the night.

Tuesday, October 29

  • 8am-10am – Mindful Movement & Meditation with Mel
  • 10am-11am – Potluck Brunch
  • 11:30am-1:30pm – Bean Magic, Husking & Magical Objects with Jody Frey

*Offerings are subject to change without notice…

Plan to bring:

  • An offering for the fire and or altar (flowers fresh or dried, firewood, sage/cedar bundle, etc)
  • A prepared meal or some pantry staples for each meal you’ll be participating in that day.  If you’re here for both brunch and supper, bring a dish to share for each.  Pantry staples include bread/butter, eggs, fair-trade organic chocolate, beeswax candles, winter squash, tea, or coffee.  There will be limited space to cook and prepare so plan ahead and bring something ready to share.
  • A blanket/camp chair or something to sit on at the fire if needed.
  • Warm, dry layers, hats & mittens,  and foul weather gear in case it rains.  All gatherings happen regardless of weather.
  • A bathrobe & 2 towels in the event you’re here for a community sauna or hot tub (those will be offered spontaneously throughout the fire)
